Easy St. Patrick’s Day Decor!

Hi Friends,

St. Patrick’s Day is approaching fast which means it’s time for everything green and gold with shamrocks, leprechauns and my personal favorite, RAINBOWS.  Who doesn’t love a good rainbow? They just brighten everything up and make people happy! Also, side note, Is it just me or does St.Patrick’s Day remind you of Lucky Charms? I have literally had the Lucky Charms song stuck in my head since I started decorating and I keep Singing it! Please tell me you have this problem too? HAHA! Anyways, Back to business, This time of year usually is exciting because it signifies the start of flowers blooming, grass growing, and warmer weather! However this year there’s a cold front across the entire country. Even here in Southern California! So instead of the gorgeous greenery outdoors I kind of brought it inside for my St. Patrick’s Day decor!

I made two free printable signs and two Cricut cut files for you! I went with more of a rainbow theme with mine but you can customize it to be whatever you want. That’s the beauty of DIY and crafting projects. I bought the two greenery garlands for 50% off at Michaels and the giant wood board, my friend gave to me but she got it at Hobby Lobby a few years ago. Also the little picture is just a gold horseshoe I cut on my Cricut and glued to green card stock I had in my scraps pile.

Free Printable Signs

For the printable signs all you will need is the Free Printable Sign 1 and Free Printable sign 2 File, a printer, paper and the frames of your choice. I always have frames lying around from different projects, but you can also go to the dollar store and get inexpensive frames. If you want to print them larger like I have the rainbow sign, Open the image in paint, then to go page set up and print across multiple pages, and press print, then you will have to glue the pages together but you don’t even notice once it’s in the frame!

St. Patrick’s Day Picks

For the Picks, I used Cricut Print then Cut. You will need the Cricut Template, or if you don’t have a Cricut you can Print from Picks Printable pdf and cut by hand. Then I hot Glued them to bamboo skewers. I cut the Skewers down to size and stuck them in my flowers. I was going with a greenery vibe so I used flowers, however they would also work in pretty much anything. Maybe you have a mesh garland or centerpiece you want to stick them in or maybe you change out decorations in a lantern for every holiday or season, they would be cute in that as well.

For the Rainbow Garland you will need the Cricut template or card stock in the color of you choice and twine/string/ribbon. I like the rainbow look but you can change the colors if you prefer something different. All green, or gold or even pink would be amazing! Once the shamrocks are cut on the card stock you will need to take an X-acto knife or scissors and cut two small slits on the sides of your shamrock to string you images on the twine. Then you just hang it anywhere you want!

That’s it! You guys know I love a good Mantle-scape! I like to change it for every season. But these decorations are versatile and simple, so anyone can make them! Let me know if you guys have any decorations you want me to make in the future! Until Next time…..
