June Favorites!

Hi Friends,

Sorry for the Delay on my favorite things from June. It was a crazy month… between my nephews 6th birthday party, Fathers Day and preparing for Independence Day, I feel like I didn’t have time to find favorites. But I do have a few things I have been loving. I hope everyone had a great June and they are enjoying July…

  1. Pink Felt Letter Board– I am obsessed with letter boards and of course I have been wanting a pink one for a while. The problem is that they are usually super expensive for any boards that are a decent size. I was walking looking through the clearance section in my local Hobby Lobby and there it was! I was obviously so excited and got even more excited when I saw the price tag and its said $10 (originally $60). I knew I had to have it. I use it all the time, for pictures or just for an inspirational quote to motivate me during the day!
  2. Tank Dress– This is the Jersey Knit Swing Dress from Old Navy. I actually have this dress in 4 colors because I love it so much, I have this blue one, a black one, a maroon/white striped one, and a black/white polka dot one. They have it in just about every color or Pattern you can think of.  It’s SO soft and comfortable. It has been so nice for the summer because its sooo easy to just throw on with a pair of sneakers or sandals and a denim Jacket. It’s breathable and keeps you cool on hot days too.
  3. Bullet Journal– I had wanted to get into Bullet Journals for a while. I watched tons of videos on Youtube and I realized it was absolutely for me. I love that I can customize it to only have what I will actually use. I have be organized everyday or I will go nuts! It really helps me stay on track daily and helps me make sure i get my to do list done. I have a super basic Journal. I got the Artist Loft dotted Journal from Michaels for $5. I really didn’t want to spend a lot of money at the start, because I wanted to make sure I would use it. I love it though! The pages are bright white and the dots are faint but still visible enough. There is a bit of ghosting and bleed through but really not a lot. Plus is comes in every color! I got a royal purple and its gorgeous! I highly recommend for a beginner like me!
  4. Essie Nail Polish– This is the Color Clambake by Essie. I have had this color for a years and its so cute! Its a red orange color and it has great coverage. I could have gotten away with only one coat but I do two just because that’s my weekly nail routine. It’s such a great color for summer. It really stands out! I love having a pop of color on my  nails, it always makes me feel more glamorous!
  5. Sparkle Vans– These are actually my sisters shoes but I love them SOOOOO much! I have been wearing them all summer! They are slip on Vans in a rose gold color. It’s kind of hard to see in the pic but they are sparkly and iridescent. They are super comfy which is essential in shoes for me! My sister said she found them at our local Vans outlet but you can always make your own sparkle shoes using my tutorial: DIY Glitter sneakers!
  6. Wet Brush– This has literally saved my sanity. I got this Wet Brush at Target, it’s the one for thick hair. I have always had super thick, curly, long and unruly hair. It gets so tangled ,even as an adult, and it would hurt so much to brush my hair any time. As a child I would have sooo many bad tangles, my mom would have to cut them out sometimes. Yikes! As an adult I have learned to deal with the pain a little bit. However, After getting this brush I don’t have any trouble! I can brush my hair anytime and its amazing! No more tangles! If you have thick or unruly hair please try one!
  7. Kelly Creates Metallic Brush Markers– I have been looking for these for months! I would check at least three time a week at my local Michaels. I even ordered them online a few times and my orders would come back saying they weren’t in stock. I was soooo bummed. I would always see people using them and they looked gorgeous. I knew I needed them but had given up hope. One day I happened to stop in the Michaels next to my optometrist really quick for one thing. I was running in and out, no looking around because I was going to be late for my appointment. Well a light was shown from above because on my way to the register there they were! Only 1 pack left anywhere! It was meant to be! The best part is they were on sale! I would have totally paid full price since it was a miracle I found them in the first place but I got a great deal! They are just a gorgeous and easy to use as everyone said! IF you can find them…… GET THEM!

I hope you guys liked hearing about some of my favorites from June! Leave me a comment with some of your favorite things! Until next time…
