DIY Disney Christmas Shirt!

Hi Friends,

Now that we are at the end of July, that means Christmas in July is almost over. Are you as sad about that as I am?  Of course, In my mind Christmas never ends! Anyone that knows me, knows that Christmas and Disney are my two favorite things ever! I live for Christmas all year-long! I am so Christmas obsessed that from mid November through new years I only wear Christmas themed outfits. Santa t-shirts, Disney Dresses, ugly sweaters, you name it I probably have it. It’s my absolute favorite time of year and of course having it just once a year isn’t enough for me. Whoever invented Christmas in July needs to be my best friend because now it socially acceptable to celebrate Christmas in the middle of summer. I have been listening to Christmas Music non stop and Crafting up a storm all month!

So, I thought in honor of the last day of Christmas in July, I would get a head start and make Christmas shirts to wear to Disneyland this festive season. You obviously can’t go to Disneyland without a Disney shirt, right? And…..At that time of year it has to be Christmas themed for me! Not going to Disneyland? No big deal! Disney is appropriate for every occasion and every aspect of your life!! I even have a free Cricut Cut image for you guys to make your own shirt……

Supplies needed:

  • Cricut cutting Machine
  • Cricut Design Space
  • Cotton t-shirt
  • Iron on Vinyl in prefered colors
  • Iron or Heat press
  • scissors
  • Free Cricut cut File

Instructions

  1. Open my free design or design your own image in Cricut Design Space.
  2. Cut out the images using your Cricut cutting machine with whatever color of iron on vinyl you want. (Make sure your images are mirrored before you cut) For mine I used a combination of red and green Cricut iron-on glitter and silver Cricut iron-on Foil
  3. Weed your images and words. Make sure you get all the little pieces too, like inside the letters!
  4. Iron your shirt so there aren’t any wrinkles where you’re adding the image. Then, following the instructions on the packaging, Iron on your image one layer at a time. Make sure your foil layer is the last layer you iron-on to your shirt! Let the image cool down before peeling the plastic off.

That’s it! I hope you have a great adventure in your Disney Christmas Shirt, whether you’re going to the parks or just staying home drinking hot chocolate at home…. Enjoy it! I will have lots more Christmas posts later in the year. Until next time……
